Nordic Seafarms AS was established in 1995 and has since then been an Industry leader in the Development and production of farmed Atlantic halibut.

The company has developed a large-scale integrated fish-farming operation. This enables us to maintain full control over the entire production process, from brood Stock and juveniles to finished products delivered fresh to the customer.

We are proud to hold a number of production licenses in the northwestern region of Norway. The company is managed from our head office in Bergen. This is also the location of our sales operation for the domestic and export markets. Our halibut is marketed and sold under the Brand name Nordic Halibut.

Nordic Seafarms

has a committed staff with many years’ experience in modern fish farming. At locations on the islands near Bergen we manage brood Stock and the hatching of juveniles.An additional supply of juveniles is secured through cooperation with the Iceland company Fiskey, the worlds leading producer of halibut juveniles.

After the first nursing period, the young halibut are moved to production sites at Averøya in northwest Norway. Here our staff is dedicated to the healthy management of the fish during the following on-growing phase. Cold and clear seawater provides optimal environmental conditions for Farming Atlantic halibut. Thanks to good cooperation with packing Station, located Next door to our northwestern sites, we can guarantee top Quality and thorough product control before the halibut are safely transported to the markets.
