Oven baked Halibut gives jucy meat.

OVEN-BAKED NORWEGIAN WHITE HALIBUT, PEPPER STYLE

Ingredients

Portions 4

One Norwegian White Halibut weighing 2-3 kg
Oil (sunflower, corn or soy oil)
1 lemon, squeezed
Salt
Pepper mix

 

  • Clean the fish, and wash off the protective slime.
  • Scrub the skin well.
  • Slit the skin on the back in a diamond shaped pattern as shown in the picture.
  • Brush the fish white halibut with plenty of oil and lemon juice.
  • Sprinkle on the salt and the pepper mix.
  • Place the fish on baking paper in a baking pan, and bake in a 220 C oven for 25-40 minutes, depending on the size.

Serve with parsley butter, potatoes and the gravy from the pan. Sprinkle chopped parsley on the fish before serving it whole.
